About Jacqueline

A counsellor who listens for what's beneath the words.

Jacqueline Smyth, psychodynamic counsellor

Hello, I'm Jacqueline Smyth. For over fifteen years I've sat alongside people navigating some of the most tender and difficult chapters of their lives — loss, fear, exhaustion, and the quiet weight of caring for others.

I trained as a psychodynamic counsellor because I believe our present struggles are rarely only about the present. The way we relate, the patterns we repeat, the things we can't quite say — they often carry echoes of earlier experiences. My work is to help you hear those echoes gently, and in doing so, find more freedom in how you live now.

I work from a calm, private practice in Horsham, West Sussex. Our sessions are unhurried and entirely confidential — a space that belongs to you, week by week.
